What does your protagonist drive?

This may seem like a silly question, but as you develop your main characters, you may want to include what sort of car they drive.

If they don’t drive, but rely upon taxis or buses or the tube—well, that’s important, too.

Some of you may have characters who drive brand-new, off-the-showroom-floor models, but it’s more likely, and perhaps more endearing, if they drive something unique.

A fun place to look when picking out your character’s drive is:

Today’s assignment:

1. Decide what your main characters drive.

2. Does he/she keep it clean and well maintained?

3. Is it messy and unreliable?

Perhaps it’s clean, but unreliable. The vehicle can help to define the character.
