Avoid Sentence Fragments

The easiest way to avoid sentence fragments is to locate the subject and verb in the sentence.

Subject — Verb Agreement:

By locating the subject and verb, you will also be able to confirm that the correct verb tense has been used.

If your sentence compounds a positive and a negative subject and one is plural, the other singular, the verb should agree with the positive subject.
