We should remember to pay attention to rhythm and cadence when reading a romantic Shakespearean poem and when writing our own prose.

2. Read someone else’s prose writing aloud.

3. Read some of your own writing aloud.

4. Listen for the cadence. Mix it up. An asymmetrical sentence structure is often more natural and helps to drive the reader forward.
